About Julie

Hi there. Welcome to my blog. My name is Julie.
I'm a city girl from Wisconsin. Did I just say Wisconsin and city in the same sentence?
Yes, that's right. Wisconsin has more than cows and cheese. I am wife of 18 years (yes, you read that right) to my husband who still acts as if he's in junior high most days. And I am a Momma of  four beautiful, noisy, hilarious kiddos~ages 14, 12, 9 and 4.

The past few years have been adventurous for me as I slowly discover who God made me to be.
It's a journey I highly recommend seeking out. Gaining confidence in who you are, not because it's you, but because of who lives in you.
I am the oldest of 4 children and grew up in a preacher's home.
I am a native american. At least the native blood that is in me is more so than any other.
I am obsessed with the show Friends. I can out quote any of you.
Everything will remind me of "this one Friends episode."
My favorite band since high school is the Cranberries. But I generally love anything acoustic, eclectic & folksy. Plus I sure do love the 80's pop and new wave . And I'm ashamed of my love for country music either.
I laugh at everything and am a tad on the sarcastic side. Probably more so in writing than in person,
but that's okay, since you are reading my writing. Wink.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE people. I admire and find uniqueness in all kinds of people.
But more than anything, aside from falling in love with Jesus every single day, my deepest desire is to inspire and encourage people just like you. I have been known to wear my heart on my sleeve, with all my mess ups and musings, meanwhile confident in the redeeming power of the blood of Jesus.

I use my story to challenge yours...

I love  writing. I love adventure. I love Jesus.

I always joke with my husband that we'll have a dark-skinned, curly haired, blonde child. Not much chance of that happening, since all those characteristics are precisely the opposite of our own, but you've given me hope. (Giggles.)

I LOVE the Cranberries too... I didn't think anyone even knew who they were! I once went to a Cranberries concert in a bar and stood about 3 feet from the lead singer, who was standing on an 18 inch stage... it was amaz-balls! :) I too love graphic design and people... and love teaching myself everything I know. I love Bloggers... so many kindreds...
