This time I want to let you know how Word Web works for you.

What’s Happened to Textbooks?
How many of you teachers do not have texts for language arts instruction? Are English or grammar books vanishing from the classroom? If so, then I understand why many teachers and students have problems teaching grammar and writing, and why the results show up on state-mandated tests.

Think Links et al
Because I was an English teacher for many years, I want to help teachers to use the sentence writing exercises and Think Links that occur throughout Word Web to integrate components that are usually taught in elementary and middle school. I’m referring to simple, compound and complex sentences; declarative, interrogative, imperative, exclamatory sentences; and sentence parts, including the agreement of subject and verb. I focus on parts of speech, mechanics and creative writing.

Learning Doesn’t Have to be Dull
I know that students and some teachers may find these topics dull, but they are essential to everyone’s language arts education. So why not make learning enjoyable? That’s possible with Word Web Vocabulary.
